The FA has today charged Knight with violent behaviour (breach of FA Rule E2) following an incident involving Blackburn Rovers' Jon Stead during the match at Loftus Road on 12th April.

He has until 4th May to respond.

Meanwhile Birmingham City goalkeeper Maik Taylor's claim for wrongful dismissal has failed.

Taylor was sent off during the match at Portsmouth on 12th April for denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity.

As it was his second sending-off of the season, he will therefore serve a two-match suspension from 1st May.
