Everton's Duncan Ferguson has been charged with violent behaviour (breach of FA Rule E2) and improper conduct (breach of FA Rule E1) in relation to an incident involving Leicester City's Steffen Freund and a gesture to the crowd respectively. The incidents took place during the match at Leicester City on 20th March. He has 14 days to respond.
Nottingham Forest manager Joe Kinnear has been charged with failure to act in the best interests of the game and bringing the game into disrepute (breach of FA Rule E1) in relation to comments about the referee following the match between Gillingham and Nottingham Forest on 6th March. He has 14 days to respond.
Millwall player-manager Dennis Wise has admitted a charge of abusive and/or insulting words to an match official (breach of FA Rule E2) and has requested a personal hearing. The charge relates to the match between Sheffield United and Millwall on 2nd March.
Millwall FC have denied a charge of failing to ensure that their players conduct themselves in an orderly fashion and refrain from violent and/or threatening and/or provocative behaviour(breach of FA Rule E21a). The charge relates to a mass confrontation during the same match against Sheffield United. Millwall are seeking a personal hearing.
Sheffield United FC have admitted the same charge in relation to the same match and have also requested a personal hearing.
Brighton & Hove Albion FC and Stockport County FC have both have admitted the charges of failing to ensure that its players and/or officials conduct themselves in an orderly fashion and refrain from violent and/or threatening and/or provocative behaviour (breach of FA Rule E21a). Both clubs are seeking a personal hearing. The charges relate to a mass confrontation during the Division 2 match on 28th February 2004.
Burnley manager Stan Ternant has received a 4-match touchline ban and a £3000 fine following a hearing into his charge of improper conduct following the FA Cup 4th Round match against Gillingham on 24th January.
