McAnuff charged

The FA have today charged Reading FC’s Jobi McAnuff with Improper Conduct following the West Bromwich Albion versus Reading match on Wednesday 24 February 2010.

McAnuff is charged in relation to his conduct following his dismissal in this fixture at The Hawthorns. He remains subject to an automatic three match suspension for the dismissal.

McAnuff has until 6pm on Monday 1 March to respond to the charge under fast-track procedures and a Independent Regulatory Commission will hear the case on Thursday 4 March 2010.

Meanwhile, The FA can confirm it has written to both clubs to seek their observations following an incident which occurred after the final whistle in the same fixture.
