A number of charges have been issued relating to breaches of The FA's Football Agents Regulations following a series of separate investigations.
1. Leeds United AFC have been charged with using an unlicensed agent - Lorenzo Paolo - in the signing of Anthony Elding from Stockport County in January 2008. The club have until 3 September to respond to the charge.
2. Millwall player Ali Fuseini has been charged with failing to ensure the exclusivity of a representation contract. It is alleged that he agreed a contract with an agent when he had already signed a representation contract with another agent. Fuseini is also charged with falsely claiming not to have signed the first contract. He has until 3 September to respond to the charge.
3. Agent Faisal Kashmiri and Crystal Palace have been charged with breaches of rules concerning the transfer of Nick Carle from Bristol City FC.
Under The FA's Football Agents Regulations, agents are prohibited from acting for two different clubs in two consecutive transactions involving the same player, and clubs are not allowed to use the services of the agent in such circumstances. It is alleged that Kashmiri acted in relation to the player's previous move. Faisal Kashmiri has admitted the charge, and requested a personal hearing. Crystal Palace FC has admitted the charge, and has requested a non-personal hearing.
4. Agent Paul Wells has been charged with entering into a representation contract with a player under the age of 16 years. He has until 4 September to respond.
