A warning has been issued to fans over unauthorised websites offering tickets for the Team GB warm-up games at the Riverside at inflated prices.
Supporters contacted Middlesbrough Football Club to report a US-based site selling tickets at £65 and £75, instead of the correct prices (£30 and £40 for adults, with concessions of £20 for over-65s and £15 for U16s available in the £30 areas).
Tickets for the only chance to see both the Men’s and Women’s teams in action before the Olympic football tournament are on sale at the Riverside and Captain Cook Square ticket offices as well as online at www.mfc.co.uk.
They are also available by phone on 0844 499 1234. There is a limit of six tickets per transaction and tickets sold via the phone and internet will be subject to a £1.50 per ticket booking fee.
Hospitality packages are also available from £79-plus VAT per person. Please contact 01642 757 657 or email hospitality@mfc.co.uk.
The FA says attempts to sell tickets on unauthorised websites are common and warned supporters to only buy from official sources.
Members of the public can check if a website is potentially fraudulent or making an unauthorised or illegal offer of London 2012 Olympic tickets at the LOCOG website here: http://www.london2012.com/spectators/tickets/ticket-checker/
Tickets for the Team GB double-header are still available directly from Middlesbrough FC. Click here to book online or call the ticket hotline on 0844 499 1234
