Women's football received a boost on Friday after the BBC announced a raft of new programming which will see increased coverage of the game.
The new schedule across TV, radio and online platforms will bring the women's game even closer to the fans.
Jacqui Oatley will front two BBC Two preview shows. The first will be in the build-up to The FA Women's Cup Final and will air on Monday 20 May. The programme will also review of The FA WSL season as it reaches the critical half-way stage.
The Women's Cup Final will then be broadcast live on BBC Two on Sunday 26 May.
Oatley will again host the second preview show on Monday 8 July, the 20th annivesary of the women's game being run by The FA, as the England Women's team prepare to embark on the UEFA Women’s European Championship Finals in Sweden.
Full coverage of the tournament will then be shown across BBC Three with the Final on BBC Two.
Following the Championship, BBC Two will also air four FA WSL shows, which will include goals round-ups, highlights and features as well as looking ahead to England’s World Cup qualifiers. Those games on the road to Canada 2015 will also be shown live on BBC.
In addition, and throughout the entire WSL season, BBC Sport online will feature a weekly goals round-up, which will also form part of Friday’s Sportsday on the BBC News Channel.
"We’re delighted to be increasing our coverage of women’s football across all of our platforms," said BBC Director of Sport, Barbara Slater.
"We know there is a strong audience appetite for more coverage and The FA Women’s Super League is a great addition to our portfolio.
"We look forward to bringing our audiences a great range of women’s football over the coming months."
The FA Director of National Game and Women’s Football, Kelly Simmons, added: “The FA is delighting to be working with the BBC on The FA Women's Cup Final and the UEFA Women’s Euros and its fantastic this commitment has now extended to The FA WSL.
"The league has had a strong couple of seasons since its launch but we believe this can be a watershed moment for the game in England.
"Our elite football league being shown consistently on terrestrial television will enable us to take the game to a wider audience and engage new fans into the sport and hopefully, inspire many more young girls to play the game.”
