Bryan Robson was a legend on the pitch for England and Manchester United, but could he transfer that form to the classic Subbuteo format?

We found out at Wembley, as Robson was invited to take on Absolute Radio DJ Christian O'Connell on the classic board game ahead of the match with Brazil on Wednesday night.

The contest came as part of a challenge for breakfast presenter O'Connell, who when he was 13 wrote a list of things he wanted to have achieved by the time he’s 40.

He will turn 40 on 7 April and he is now working through a list of approximately seven challenges which remain on this list in the hope that he can tick them all off by his birthday.

One of these wishes was to play Subbuteo with Robson and England sponsor Mars and The FA made this happen ahead of Wednesday’s England v Brazil game at Wembley.
