Newly-knighted Olympic hero Sir Dave Brailsford speaks to FATV about his football memories

Sir Dave Brailsford collected his knighthood at Buckingham Palace on Thursday after a super year, which saw him oversee eight British gold medals in London 2012 as well as Sir Bradley Wiggins' famous Tour de France victory.

In his role as British Cycling performance director and Team Sky general manager, Brailsford played a vital role in the nation's success on the saddle.

And he ended 2012 as Coach of the Year at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards, before he was knighted in the New Year's Honours List for 2013.

Growing up in north Wales as a big football fan, Brailsford admits he had a choice of two teams on Merseyside to support.

But which one did he opt for and why?
