The Bike for Bobby campaign stopped off at Wembley Stadium this week as Robbie Elliott and his team of cyclists completed the latest leg of their Sir Bobby Robson Foundation fund raiser.
Elliott, who played under Sir Bobby at Newcastle United, is cycling across Europe and visiting every club stadium where the legend managed in his long football career.
The journey takes in four countries, eight stadiums and over 3,500 miles and the Bike for Bobby team are due to arrive at St James’s Park on Sunday for Newcastle’s Premier League clash with West Ham.
Elliott and his cycling partner, Phil Gray, have so far taken in Lisbon, Porto, Barcelona, Eindhoven, Fulham, Wembley and Ipswich before they reach the finishing line at Newcastle.
Joining Elliott and Gray for the London leg of their epic trip were Sky Sports presenter Ben Shephard and former Newcastle and England midfielder Rob Lee.
