Arsenal continued their success in The FA Women's Premier League at the weekend, when a 1-0 win at Everton was enough to secure a sixth straight title for the Gunners and you can see highlights of the match right here on TheFA.com.
They headed north for the final match of the season knowing that they had to win, as a draw or Everton victory would see Mo Marley's Toffees lift the title instead.
As expected, it was a close game and was settled by just a single goal from Suzanne Grant in the first half. That proved to be enough and despite some late pressure from the hosts, Arsenal held on to secure a final title for manager Vic Akers, who is now to retire from his role after 22 years at the helm.
Akers couldn't be at the game due to his role as Arsenal's first team kit manager, but his staff proved more than capable of overseeing things.
"We're absolutely over the moon," said assistant manager Tony Gervaise.
"It's superb to get six consecutive championships and we're delighted for everybody attached to the club, especially for the man who couldn't be here today."
Captain Jayne Ludlow added: "Considering we have lost so many players this season, we've gone way over what was expected of us and to win three trophies is unbelievable."
