Women wanted at Whitehawk

Formed in 1989, Whitehawk WFC had a tremendous 2005-2006 season and the Brighton-based side are now on the look out for new players for their first and second teams.

Having won the London and South-East league, the first team have been promoted to the South-East Combination league. Whitehawk remained unbeaten throughout the season.

The second team won the “Challenge Trophy and the League Cup” and also won promotion to the South-East Counties league.

The club’s ultimate aim is to return to the National League Southern Division and to go one stage better than last time.

In their first season in that league in 1998/9 they went unbeaten until the last four games of the season and missed out on promotion to the National League Premier Division on the last game of the season.

Whitehawk are delighted that ex-Arsenal and England players, Angela Banks and Debbie Bampton, will be joining the Whitehawk coaching team this season, whilst the playing ranks also feature The FA's Head of National Football Development, Kelly Simmons.
