Arsenal Ladies’ bid to reclaim their FA WSL crown is on track after they brushed aside Doncaster Rovers Belles 4-0 on Saturday night.
Midfielder Jordan Nobbs turned in a characteristically impressive performance, notching two goals in the first-half.
Skipper Katie Chapman added to Nobbs’s brace to ensure that the League leaders, who remain unbeaten, entered the interval with a commanding 3-0 lead.
Scottish midfielder Kim Little, who featured for Team GB at the recent Olympic Games, scored from the edge of the box late on on to put the icing on the cake for Arsenal as they issued another ominous message of intent to the chasing pack.
Millie Bright, the Belles forward, had the home side’s sole clear chance of the game, but she saw her second-half effort deflect off a defender and out for a corner following an impressive run into the box from deep.
Doncaster boss John Buckley praised Arsenal’s performance, before highlighting the display of the returning Leandra Little.
Buckley said: "Respect to Arsenal. They were different class - the standard of their football is better than a lot of men's teams.
"There were a few people for us that answered questions for us. Leandra Little played quite well at the back.
"The problem has always been if we can get a wee bit more investment in we might be able to persuade one or two more fringe players to come because what a place to come and play. It sells itself."
