Arsenal Ladies boss Laura Harvey admitted she was pleased to end the season with an FA WSL League and Cup double.
The Gunners beat Birmingham City Ladies 1-0 in the Continental Cup Final on Wednesday night to repeat their trophy haul from last season.
Harvey said: “It means a lot to us.
“I've said it a lot this year but we were disappointed to lose [in] The FA Cup [Semi-Final] and we'd have been disappointed if we'd have only come away with one trophy, so to come away with the double is fantastic.”
Arsenal won the League title last month with the Blues finishing runners-up for the second year in a row, and David Parker’s FA Women's Cup holders were second best at Underhill, too.
The Londoners had more of the ball, created more chances and hit the woodwork twice before Kim Little won the game late on with a sublime left-footed effort.
Harvey added: "We made it hard work at times. Birmingham are a good team, I just thought we had that little extra on the night.
“It was always going to take a bit of quality to win the game and Kim provided it. There's not many in the game that can do that off their weaker foot.
“I thought Becky Spencer was excellent for them tonight. She pulled off some good saves and we hit the woodwork a couple of times, but that has been the story of our season. We have created a lot of chances, and we've often taken them, but we've not been able to see games out.
“To keep a clean sheet and win 1-0 - that's ideal for me.”
