Respect League Consultation

The chance for you to have your say in enhancing the Respect Programme.

If you’re involved in running a league and have strong views on the way in which the game should be played you now have an opportunity to shape the future of The FA’s  Respect Programme.

Respect  was launched in August 2008 in response to a range of problems that were damaging football at every level of the game.

In general, the programme has contributed to a better environment for the recruitment and retention of referees, a reduction in serious referee assaults and improving the atmosphere in and around youth football.

However there is still much to be done - concern remains as to the conduct in the professional game and the impact of Respect in adult grassroots football.

The FA is keen to see how it might enhance the impact of the programme particularly in the adult grassroots game. Follow the following link

Click here to download documents that seek the views of your league as to how best to do this. The consultation document contains five questions that will help The FA develop a programme that better reflects the demands that you face in organising football in this country.

Please return your response to Respect.info@thefa.com by 10 November 2011.
