Friday, 22 July 2005.
Manchester FA's Football Fives reached a thrilling climax as Ex United won the second women’s competition.
The competition saw teams playing through the group and knock out stages before Ex United last years semi finalist went one better to beat ‘Brazil’ in the final 3-1 to claim the top prize.
As well as the winner’s medals and trophies the team received 10 tickets for an England match of their choice.
Tournament Director, Phil Heap said: "The football fives is continuing to go from strength to strength in the standard of competition.
"With the planning for a futsal league or competition well underway and the recent European Women’s Championships the small sided female game is looking very encouraging."
