The Hornets manager, with took charge at Vicarage Road in March this year, gave a number of demonstrations during the session, which was held at Princes Park Youth Football Club.

The 34 year old touched on many subjects and also stated the best way to learn is through self-discipline, fun and stressed that coaches have a responsibility to teach players effectively by attending to each of their specific needs.

Adrian, who played for Huddersfield, Bristol Rovers and Hearts before he retired aged 26 due to injuries, also recommended activities and exercises for the 50-strong audience to take away and implement at their own training sessions.

Adrian added that a high quality coach should have good communication skills and know how players learn. The evening concluded with a question and answer session.

The Middlesex FA would like to thank Adrian for his time and Princes Park Youth FC for providing the venue for the session.

The next meeting, on goalkeeping, is on 6 February 2006 and will be delivered by FA National Goalkeeping Coach Martin Thomas.
