The ground grading process relating to promotion from Step 5 to Step 4 for season 2005/2006 is nearing completion with three hopefuls in the Wessex League being the final clubs to be visited.
In order to be considered for promotion, clubs must achieve a Grade E prior to the 30 April 2005.
To date, the following clubs have achieved the required Grade: Newcastle Town and St Helens Town (North West Counties) Goole and Sheffield (Northern Counties East League) Rushall Olympic and Quorn (Midland Football Alliance) Enfield Town (Essex Senior League)
In addition to the above, a number of clubs, including FA Vase Finalists Didcot Town, have been advised of work which needs to be undertaken in order to achieve the entry criteria.
Promotion in the first instant will be awarded to clubs finishing in top spot in their respective competitions. Where a club finishing in top spot is not eligible, then a club finishing in 2nd place will be considered.
A full list of clubs performances will be published on TheFA.com in due course.
