The project was delivered by the North Riding County FA Football Development team, in partnership with Charter Standard Community Club Copmanthorpe and the Oaklands School Sport Partnership.

FA qualified coaches from the club delivered an eight-
week coaching programme in Hob Moor Oaks and Applefields schools to pupils with various disabilities.

To ensure that the pupils continue to have the opportunity to play football,
a Coaching Disabled Footballers course was run at Applefields with teachers attending from both schools to develop their knowledge and skills.

Both schools are now working towards Charter Standard status.

The culmination of the coaching programme was a festival that was attended by Winter.

Copmanthorpe FC have now set up a junior Soccability section for young people with disabilities with attendances at the first couple of sessions being very encouraging.
