The event, organised by the County FA's football development officers Kevin Hodges and Jane Smedley, was attended by over three hundred children aged between eight and eleven from nineteen of the County's schools.

Despite the weather all of them had a fun filled day in this inter-school Mini-Soccer competition and every child went home with a certificate and sports drink bottle.

All Charter Standard Schools raise the standard of football when using it to deliver physical education as well as developing out of school opportunities for boys and girls.

These standards were evident throughout the day and there were some very well contested finals.

Kevin Hodges expressed his thanks to everyone who took part and in particular to the teachers and coaches who helped the day run smoothly. County FA Directors attended and presented trophys to the winning teams.

The main winners on the day were:

Evercreech Cof E Primary - Under-9s Trophy
Westfield Primary - Under-9s Fair Play Award
Hugh Sexey Middle School - Under-11s Trophy
Maiden Beech Middle School - Under-11s Fair Play Award
