The Somerset FA recently held a successful In-Service Training Day for Primary Schools in the Bath area that are part of The FA Schools Sports Partnership.
Bath City FC kindly provided the facilities for the day as they help play a key role in the School-Club Link programme that is being run Nationally through County FA's .
The day consisted of Teachers gaining a qualification of a FA teaching Certificate Key Stage 2 , with the children from the Schools that attended taking part in a FA 3 Lions Coaching programme implemented by Somerset FA Coaches.
Kevin Hodges , Somerset FA Football Development Officer who organised the event said :
"It was a fantastic day, evident from the hundreds of smiley faces of both children and Teachers throughout . Everyone gained something from the experience either knowledge or exercise and a lot of new friends were made.
"Everyone at the Somerset FA would like to thank Bath City FC for their kind hospitality and Dave Burston for his support in organising the event. "
