The Institute of Groundsmanship in conjunction with The Football Association have teamed up to provide a programme of progressive training courses for the preparation and maintenance of football and rugby pitches.
There are three Levels to the training programme:
Level One concentrates on the practical skills
Level Two looks at the Science and technology behind the practical skills
Level Three at the management practices of enhancing pitch performance, budgetary priorities, Health and Safety Responsibilities etc.
The courses are suitable for you whether you are a club groundsman, volunteer, school groundsman or contractor. After you have attended the course you will be able to:
- Improve your skills as a groundsman
- Understand the care and maintenance you need to provide for your pitch
- Produce a safer surface for a more enjoyable game
When you attend the courses you will receive:
- Tuition from a fully qualified Instructor
- A set of Resource material containing all elements of the course
- Attendance Certificate
