Alexandra Minns, 17, achieved the Young Football Workforce National Award, which recognises the importance of young volunteers.

Alex was forced to quit football through injury in 2002 but last season returned to Mulbarton Belles Under-14s as an assisting coach. She is present for training sessions, organises every match day and writes reports for the local press. Alex will attend the FA Community Shield with other national winners.

Freethorpe FC received the Eastern Region Charter Standard Adult Club of the year and Reffley Youth FC, in Kings Lynn, achieved three County FA Charter Standard Awards for best Club, Coach (Paul Taylor) and Administrator (Steve Tuck).

Paul Taylor also achieved the Eastern Region FA Charter Standard Coach of the Season award.

Two of Norfolk’s Charter Standard Schools achieved awards. Edward Worlledge Middle School in Great Yarmouth achieved The FA Charter Standard Primary School Regional award and Sprowston High School in Norwich achieved The FA Charter Standard Secondary School Regional award.

The Wiltshire County Football Association is to hold its Annual Mini Soccer Festival on Sunday 4 September 2005. The Festival will take place at Devizes Town FC / Southbroom School, commencing 9am, for teams in U7, U8, U9 and U10 categories (the maximum squad size is eight players).

The Entry fee is £18.00 per team and must be enclosed with your completed Entry Form before the closing date of Monday 8 August 2005.
