Want to know more about football than just shooting and passing? Well here is your chance.
The FA Young Leadership Camp, which is being held at St George’s School, Ascot from Monday 16 July – Friday 20 July, might just be the thing for you.
Focusing on a whole variety of learning opportunities around leadership skills, the free event is run by National FA staff and covers a whole range of football disciplines, from learning about coaching and refereeing, to sports science and goalkeeping. The camp, for boys and girls, will also focus on disability football and the new and exciting game of five-a-side called Futsal.
As well as attending the FA Young Leadership Camp, four young leaders will be selected to go to Malawi to support our International Placement programme and help support and run festivals for children in Africa - a fantastic and life changing opportunity.
You don't need to be a Rooney or Lampard to apply for the Camp, but you must complete the nomination form and return these, signed by your teacher or club secretary with relevant certificates, to your local County FA. For more details, click here.
Further to this, you must be completing, or have completed, a leadership or football qualification as detailed on the nomination form.
The deadline for these applications to be with the County FAs is Friday 11 May 2007.
Unfortunately late applications can not be considered, so please ensure you complete all the relevant sections and get this signed and completed in time.
Please do not hesitate to contact your local Football Development Officer at your County FA for more information, or click here to view a slide show.
