Here's what he had to say...

Hi everyone.

I'm gutted to be missing the match with Charlton after I tore my hamstring against Tranmere last Saturday.

It's so frustrating. I have been looking forward to it since the draw was made. I'll watch the game after I have done some work in the gym in the morning.

There is nothing like The FA Cup. Charlton are a Premier League side, we are at home - I would have loved to have played. Being underdogs might work in our favour.

We will give them respect, they are a big club. They have had their problems but Alan Pardew will be looking at the game as a chance to start a winning run. We will have to bring our "A" game.

They will miss Darren Bent. He's their top scorer, any team would miss their top scorer. He's a massive loss.

I have had a few injuries before and with things like that you just know. I had gone to jump and just felt it go. I came off straight away. We have a TV in the changing room, so I watched the second half while I was getting treatment.

I might be out for three weeks. Injuries like this are graded one to three, with three being the worst. Mine was rated one and a half. It will need plenty of rest. I will be coming in for treatment, ice, gym work and stretching. Hopefully by the end of next week I will be doing some endurance running.

We ended up drawing with Tranmere. They are a good side. They went 1-0 up and put ten men behind the ball, so it was always going to be difficult after that. A point was a good result as we did not create any clear-cut chances.

The injury meant I missed the game at Oldham on New Year's Day. We lost 5-0 - it was probably best I stayed at home for that. I saw the scores coming in on Sky Sports then listened to the second half on the radio. I could not believe it when I heard Sammy Clingan was sent off for violent conduct. He's so soft and gentle.

The commentators were trying to put across that we gave it our all and tried to do the right things.

The boys said they did not do themselves justice and getting two players sent off did not help. But sometimes you just have to look at yourselves. It was a frustrating start to the year.

We have had a couple of meetings this week. But there is no talk of a crisis in the changing room. If you had said at the beginning of the season that we would be one point off the top, we would have taken it. We know we can go on a long run. We just need one result to change things round.

Who will win The FA Cup?
Tim Crooks

Probably one of the big four - Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool or Arsenal. But there is always an upset.

After the festive period, how is the morale in the squad?
Adrian Matthews

The players were quite bubbly when I saw them in training. They were positive. It's not as if we have fallen out of reach. Hopefully we will get back on track in the next couple of weeks.

How do you cope watching the team play big games when you cannot be involved?
Louis Snowdon

I hate watching Forest. I'm itching to get out there and play. If they are not playing well then it's frustrating, especially when you see how well they can play in training.
