What did you do over the summer?

"I went to Portugal on Holiday and watched as much of the World Cup as I could. Unfortunately they had the worst June weather for 29 years and it rained pretty much constantly. I was also there for the England match well!"

Did you watch the World Cup?

"I watched as much as I could on holiday and then caught the back end of the tournament at home. I thought it was a good tournament but was obviously disappointed that we didn't progress further."

How's your pre-season been?

"It's gone very well. We started with some fitness testing over the summer to get the players prepared and then drew up some plans for them to follow at home. Since we've started back they have all worked really hard and got there levels back up again."

Have you got any new players in?

"Noneso far. We're happy with the squad that got us promoted at the moment. They all did well last season. I'm looking to bring in a couple of new players."

Any players we should be looking out for?

"Nathan Smith, our young striker. He's injured at the moment after a motorbike accident but we hope to get him and ready for most of the season. He scored a lot of goals last season and is a good prospect."

Thoughts on the new season?

"It's an exciting time for us. We're one of the only part time clubs left in the league so we know we're up against it. It will be a challenge to compete with some of the teams but we'll do everything we can to compete. We can only squeeze in a couple of sessions a week but we've done as much as we possibly can and we're looking forward to it."

Grounds you're looking forward to visiting?

"Some of the players are looking forward to visiting the ex league grounds - the likes of Rushdon & Diamonds, York and Exeter - but, on the whole, we're just excited about the whole thing. It's been 11 years since this club were last in the Conference and we're just looking forward to the season kicking off."

Tip to win the league?

"Stevenage or Halifax, They are very strong squads. There are a number of other teams that will fight it out for the promotion places but those will be there or there abouts."

Personal ambitions for the season?

"We just want to finish as high up the league as possible and win as many games as we can. We'll see where the season takes us. We had some decent cup runs last year and we'd like to repeat that success. A good FA Trophy run and The FA Cup first round are realistic ambitions. It's important, though, to make sure we concentrate on the league."
