We continue to look at the new season by talking to Weymouth boss Garry Hill.

What have you been up to over the summer?

"I went over to Germany for the World Cup and had a great time. I managed to see every England game but was really disappointed with the result and how we went out. There's always next time I suppose!"

How has your pre-season gone so far?

"It's gone very well. The players have come back with a great fitness levels - improved even from last season. The Conference is a very strong league these days and player fitness is more important than ever. I think the lads realise that and their hard work will hopefully pay off."

Have you brought any players in?

"We've bought a couple in to firm up the squad and consolidate our position. We're after stability this year and we wanted to bring in players who knew how to succeed in this league. Simon Wetherstone is a well established player at this level and will bring some great experience into the dressing room."

Which players are the ones to watch at your club?

"As I say, It's a strong division these days. All the clubs that have come down will be looking to bounce straight back so playing them will be tough. Established teams like Morecambe, Grays and Stevenage will definitely be in the shake up but I reckon Oxford will be toughest - they've kept onto some good players and are still a big club."

Any grounds you're looking forward to visiting?

"No, not really. We're concentrating on what we have to do and not thinking about opponents. We don't fear any teams and we'll take each game as it comes."

Who is your tip to win the league?

"I'll go for Oxford. Like I say, they're very strong and will be hungry to bounce back from relegation season. They've got some good players and they should do well."

What are your personal ambitions for the season?

"After 17 years away from the Conference, I've got to make sure the club stays there and finishes as high up the league as we can. We're realistic about what we can achieve but would love a good cup run. We're not greedy but would like to draw a big club."

Are your preparations different for this season different from last year?
"Not really. We won our league last season so we must have been doing something right! Keith Hawes is an excellent coach and he's done a great job in pre-season. The players have worked hard - they know what they have to do and they've responded well. We're in good shape for the season ahead."
