West Riding FA are looking to appoint a Football Development Officer.

West Riding County FA are seeking to recruit a Football Development Officer with the specific remit of developing the grassroots football workforce.
This position reports directly to the County Football Development Manager and will support and develop all areas of workforce development in accordance with the County FA 4 Year Strategy.
The role encompasses the following areas:

Organisation, coordination, administration and development of the County FA Coach Education and Teacher Education programme

Tutor up to four First for Sport Level 1 Coaching Football courses per annum

Management of the County Coach Education Tutor Group

Management and coordination of County FA Coaches Association and In Service Training programme

Management of the County FA Step into Sport Young Leaders and Volunteer Development programmes

Lead role interfacing with the Learning and Skills Council and management and development of existing contract

Support and develop training opportunities for under represented groups, particularly people with disabilities and people from minority ethnic communities
This will involve working strategically with key agencies e.g. County Sports Partnerships, Local Authorities, Local Education Authorities, Schools, Local Leagues and Clubs.
The successful candidate will be of likely graduate calibre, have completed the FA Six Step Tutor Recruitment process to enable delivery of the First for Sport Level 1 Coaching Football Course and have a sound knowledge and experience of sports development. You will need to be passionate about and committed to the development of grassroots football.
Candidates must demonstrate both team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised and on their own initiative. Experience of managing projects/events to demonstrate sound organisation and planning skills is required. Excellent communication, presentation and IT skills will be expected.
Applicants must hold a full driving licence and be able to work some evenings and weekends.
This post is initially for a three year fixed term period with a view to it being extended.

Salary Scale: £22,000 - £26,000
