Women's and girls' football in the North East will benefit from 22 new Level One coaches
Thursday, 17 April 2008.
A free football development course has produced 22 new Level One coaches for women’s and girls’ football in the North East.
The course, part-funded by Tesco and the National Sports Foundation, was organised by The FA’s North East Women and Girls Football Development Officers to provide a free FA Level One coaching course aimed specifically at the development of the women’s and girls’ game in the region.
Teachers, parents, students and young female players all took part in the week-long intensive course, which took place at Houghton Keiper Sports College during the second week of April. As part of the course participants developed their organisational skills and also attended the FA Emergency Aid and FA Child Protection workshops.
The course helped produce 22 new Level One Coaches who will help to provide an improved standard of coaching for women’s and girls’ football in the North East.
