The Charter Standard for Schools programme is a kite marking scheme that establishes minimum standards of football development in schools.

It is also a means by which good practice is recognised and will raise standards by sharing this good practice.

CRITERIA 

The criteria for achieving Charter Standard include;

  • Minimum FA qualifications for teachers
  • Football to be provided to boys and girls in the curriculum
  • Football to be provided for boys and girls out of school hours
  • Schools to be affiliated to the English Schools Football Association
  • School to club link with a junior football club
  • The Charter Standard offers a benefits package to schools including tickets to youth and women's games.
