World Cup Skills: a literacy, language and numeracy skills project inspired by SkillsActive with the help of a number of partners is now taking place.
The project is designed to promote literacy and numeracy, using the power of football to engage young people and adults across the UK.
The 2010 FIFA World Cup is a unique opportunity to hook fans, social players, football club staff and volunteers in football into brushing up their literacy language and numeracy skills.
Throughout the tournament, starting 11 June 2010 through to 11 July 2010, they are promoting literacy and numeracy through daily quizzes and challenges.
Log-in everyday and join in the fun, participate in the daily first and second half quiz questions and daily challenges, read the quote of the day and learn interesting facts and figures about the World Cup tournaments, teams and players from over the decades.
