The Association sees safeguarding children and the welfare of young and vulnerable persons as a very important element of our work and, with the implementation of legislation later this year, is keen to ensure that the appropriate level of support is available to our member clubs. As a result, and with the approval of The FA who are funding the post, we have decided to enhance the CWO post from that previously advertised. The postholder will be made more effective by having dedicated administrative support to release him or her to professional duties and also to provide capacity to manage the administration and organisation (in conjunction with MiddlesexLearning) of the various Safeguarding Children and Club Welfare courses programme.
As we have increased the salary from that attached to the previous vacancy and have changed the job specification, we are obliged to re-advertise. Previous applicants will automatically be considered for this upgraded role and will not have to re-apply. A recruitment pack for this re-defined post is available, from Dan Church at
dan.church@middlesexfa.com or by telephone to him on 020 8515 1922 with a closing date of Friday 7 March.
