National Coach Educators

Four new positions are available at The FA.

The FA is looking to appoint four National Coach Educators to join the Football Development Division. As the governing body for football in England, The FA leads the education and development of coaches across the game.

These new posts will be focusing on the development of coaches working towards UEFA B, UEFA A, FA Youth Award Module 3 and FA Youth Award Advanced.

Successful applicants will support the delivery of The FA Vision (England Winning), National Game Strategy (Better players & Workforce enabler) and FA Coach Development Strategy and will be responsible with colleagues for the promotion of The FA Future Game philosophy.

Specific duties for this role will include:-
• To organise and deliver high quality FA courses at UEFA B level and above.
• To identify, mentor and support coaches working towards higher level FA and UEFA qualifications.
• To develop, mentor, support and QA FA Tutors at UEFA B and FA Youth award Module 3 and above.
• Ability to contribute to the development of FA course content, materials, delivery mechanisms and assessment protocols where appropriate.
• Develop and deliver an in-service programme to support coach development.
• Deliver on FA National Courses.
• To support under-represented groups to develop as coaches through the coaching pathway.
• Develop individual, club based and/or regional events to support the learning of coaches employed within the professional game.
• Contribute two technical articles per year for FA publications.
• Lead and/or contribute to research into targeted subject areas as directed.
• Contribute to FA International Development Programme.

Successful candidates must possess the following:
• Hold UEFA A License.
• FA Tutor (Minimum current FA UEFA B and UEFA A Coach Educator).
• Experience of team and/or player development.
• Understanding of FA LTPD model.
• Clean driving licence.
• Progressive approach to coaching and learning.
• Management and leadership skills.
• Hold or currently working towards a recognised teaching qualification in primary, secondary or tertiary education. 
• Hold or currently working towards an approved qualification in assessment processes.

The position requires an ability to mix practical delivery with the co-ordination and management of networks, working with a series of key partners. Working from a home base, there will be a need to work extensively at weekends and in the evenings.

Due to the requirements of this role, successful applicants will undergo a screening process that will include an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure.
