Rangers on the road to success

East Riding has its eighth Charter Standard Community club.

Hall Road Rangers have reached the pinnacle level of The FA Charter Standard programme in achieving Community Club status. In doing so, they have become just the eighth East Riding CFA club to receive the award.

Community Clubs, the pinnacle of the club development pathway, will be those that have a high quality, multi-team (minimum of ten teams) set up with excellent social, training and playing opportunities for all. As such, the number of Community Clubs is one of the truest measures of success for The FA Football Development strategy.

The club have worked extremely hard over the past six months to meet the Community Club criteria. This season they have 15 teams and provide playing opportunities for men, women, juniors, veterans and also hope to enter a team upon the formation of the ERCFA Junior Disability League.

A comprehensive development plan has been produced to support the continued growth of the club over the coming years. All coaches within the club are fully FA qualified and CRB checked and very proactive, attending numerous Charter Standard In-Service Workshops over the last year to support their development.

Jack Matthews, East Riding County FA Football Development Officer, who supported Hall Road Rangers throughout the application process said: “Hall Road Rangers are a large, well supported club within the area who deserve the accolade of FA Charter Standard Community Club.

"A player could join the club at seven years of age and to continue to play for one of its teams until they were 50+, that’s what we want from our Community clubs. I look forward to continuing to support Hall Road in implementing their development plan over the coming months and years.”
