Meadow Sports rewarded with Award

Surrey club receive Charter Standard award.

Meadow Sports FC have been awarded the prestigious FA Charter Standard Community status at Woking FC and are only one out of 13 clubs in Surrey to have been awarded the accolade.

The FA Charter Standard Community Status recognises clubs that are run well by giving guidelines for clubs to follow. Meadow Sports received the award after successfully meeting The FA criteria and can now take the praise of being a very well run club.

The youth development structure complements the ethos of the club by coaching and nurturing local home grown talent for progression into the first team.

The coaches are fully FA qualified and are CRB Checked and have current emergency aid and safeguarding children certificates.

As a club, Meadow Sports will continue to grow and develop with the local community to make sport a very big part of the life of all the supporters and club members.

Steven Edwards, Surrey County FA Football Development Officer, assisted Meadow Sports in their achievement of Charter Standard Community Status and added: “It is essential that big clubs like Meadow Sports set the standard and lead by example by following the guidelines for the Community Status. The club has been excellent in attaining the award.”
