Coaches attend Charter Standard session in Kent ahead of pre-season.
An exclusive FA Charter Standard Workshop was held in Kent recently, as Cobdown Sports and Social Club welcomed club coaches to its ground for training in both practical and theoretical aspects of coaching.
Over 24 coaches attended the three hour event, which was delivered by FA Regional Coach Development Manager, Chris Whalley.
The theory and practical workshop demonstrated football games for training and fitness in time for coaches to plan pre-season programmes ahead of the new campaign which is starting now for many teams at all levels.
Kevin Basson of Swanscombe Tigers FC praised the evening, by saying: "It is great to meet other like-minded coaches and share ideas and practise while learning and developing from the sessions and information which Chris provides.”
The club in-service training events are one of many benefits that the Kent County FA offers to new and existing FA Charter Standard Clubs, who receiving discounts on UMBRO equipment, an FA Charter Standard plaque, the use of The FA Crest and continued coaching support.
Kent County FA Football Development Officer Lee Suter added: “As a County FA, we are committed to the continued personal development of The FA Charter Standard volunteer workforce and it was pleasing to see so many coaches dedicated to the event.”
