Following their success in attaining the Lincolnshire FA Charter Standard Club for 2006-2007, Caistor Crusaders have now added to their repertoire the East Midlands FA Charter Standard Development Club of the Year Award for 2007-2008.
This is a fantastic achievement for a club which has only been a Development Club for a year, but they have continued the great work established since becoming an FA Charter Standard Club.
They were presented with the award at the recent England Under-21 game at the KC Stadium in Hull by The FA's Director of Football Development, Sir Trevor Brooking.
The presentation was also attended by Paul Hamnett, Football Development Officer and Tony Drinkall, Area Delegate for Grimsby.
"This award highlights the extremely successful and continually developing community partnership and the ever increasing reputation of Caistor Crusaders," said the Club Secretary, Andy Hayes.
This award highlights the good practice which is occurring not only within Caistor Crusaders, but throughout Lincolnshire.
It rewards the hard work undergone by the club in reaching the high standards set by The FA in achieving Charter Standard Development Club status with the help, support and guidance from the Football Development team at the Lincolnshire FA.
The Charter Standard Scheme is a best practice guide that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for all clubs outside the Football League and Premier League. As a benchmark for quality, it will improve the playing experience for all.
