Dorset salute century

Dorset County FA are proud to announce that they have reached the milestone of 100 FA recognised Charter Standard Schools.

In recognition of this achievement, the 100th School, St Gregory’s Primary from Marnhull, Sturminster Newton, were invited to attend a half-time presentation at England Under-19s' match with Poland at Bournemouth on Tuesday 6 February.

In front of a record 10,375 crowd the school, represented by Pauline Guy (School Football Coach), along with an active member of the schools squad, were presented with a special award from Trevor Schorah, Chairman of the DCFA Charter Standard Working Party, on the pitch during the half-time interval.

The school had brought around 100 children to enjoy the feast of football that culminated in a breathtaking 4-1 victory for Brian Eastick’s young side.

The Dorset County FA would like to thank all of the other schools throughout the county that constantly strive towards the excellence demanded by the FA Charter Standard Award, which to date totals 103 schools.
