This week I have been absolutely boring. Having not had a game last weekend I had three days of rest. I spent it sleeping, just clocking in the hours really.

But it has all been back to normal this week and on Monday it was back to business as usual. For me personally it is now all about getting back into the swing of things and for my body to get used to training every day.

The sooner I get the games under my belt, the better. You can do all the training in the world but you do need the games.

We certainly have a big one this week against Millwall. We have been well briefed and we will be going into the game knowing what to expect and how they play. I expect it to be a tough game, after all it’s a derby and both sets of supporters are passionate about their clubs and hopefully it should be a great day.

Now that Ian Holloway has signed a new contract I hope that it will stop all the rumour mongering going on. There has been a new headline each week about a new manager being linked with QPR so I hope that this now squashes all these rumours.

It’s brilliant news for QPR because it now means that there is a bit of stability at the club. We now have a manager at the helm who has been put in place after the board have shown confidence in him and offered him a new contract. He has done a marvellous job and he is really committed to the cause and I am sure now the gaffer will be looking to build on his successes.

While there was good news at QPR, Birmingham City Ladies aren’t doing too bad either. We are in the quarter-finals now after beating Fulham 5-1.

The FA Cup is the most prestigious cup competition in the women’s game. It is the most high profile and everyone remembers the FA Cup winners. It is funny because not many people remember who won the league but because of the amount of publicity that the final gets – what with it being shown on BBC 1 – it puts it out to the public.

Obviously it is a competition that we want to do well in. We have had two tough draws against Doncaster Belles and Fulham, who are both Premiership clubs, and we have now been drawn against Arsenal. They are the holders and the ones who also knocked us out of the League Cup this season.

It is going to be another tough draw for us, but it is nothing that we didn’t expect. I am always confident that the team can win every game it goes into. Football is funny in that you can’t guarantee a result, we will go there expecting to win and hopefully be in the semi-final.

It is a case of East meeting West in London this weekend as QPR travel to Millwall on Saturday 5th February, while Birmingham City Ladies travel to Charlton Women on Sunday 6th February.
