Brent originally trained as a PE teacher at Culham College, Oxford, in the mid-Seventies after coaching a local boys club in Fulham and playing for Kingstonian and Feltham FC in the former Isthmian league. He has experience in coaching with Brentford, Millwall, Watford and Fulham and has lectured in Sports and Exercise Science at Southbank University and Southwark College, where he started the first female college football academy in 1998 (of which Kate Chapman was a player). He holds the UEFA A License, M.Sc. In Sports Coaching and is an FA Coach Education Diploma Holder.

I could never give one performance but last season the German goalkeeper versus USA in the Women's World Cup semi-final was a model for all aspiring goalkeepers.

New Year's resolutions: To keep developing my knowledge and abilities as a coach and to support my children in everything they do
Where in the world would you'd most like to visit in the next year: India - I'd love to take the three month journey by train and see the whole country
