Let’s hope they’ve been celebrating a lot in the last few days! Sadly, I’m sure they haven’t and even though they’ve already won the title they won’t be taking their foot off the accelerator. Arsene Wenger and his side will be desperate to make history by going through the whole campaign unbeaten.

Earlier in the season I tipped United to win the title, but Arsenal have more than proved themselves to be worthy champions. They have been absolutely sensational and have certainly raised the standards for everyone in the Premiership.

I enjoy watching them just like any fan does: the way they sweep down the pitch with their pace and skill is a joy to watch.

For Arsenal to remain unbeaten throughout the whole season would be almost beyond belief. However, we now have the chance to stop that. It won’t be easy, which we clearly learnt when we lost 3-0 to them at St Andrews back in November.

But funnily enough we can also take some heart from that game; they took an early lead, but I felt we then competed with them for 75 minutes until they got a couple of late goals. Tomorrow we have to make a good start and keep our concentration for the whole game. The incentive for us is obvious: to become the first, and maybe only, team to beat Arsenal this season.

Of course, I included a few Arsenal players in my PFA team of the season, but I went for a couple of footballers outside Highbury for the individual awards. I was close to voting for Thierry Henry as my Player of the Year, but ultimately went for Alan Shearer. I’ll admit I’m a bit biased because he’s a former Blackburn man, but I felt he deserved it for remaining at the top of his game once again this season.

For Young Player of theYear, I voted for Scottie Parker, who has had a great season, initially for Charlton, and then after his move with Chelsea. I was delighted to see him pick up the award. Believe me, he will only get better, especially when he starts to play more in his proper position in the centre of midfield.
