Today is day six of the Close Season...

Throughout the month of June players in England are given a break away from the game and only international, small-side, armed forces and scout matches are permitted.

Without any football for a whole month, TheFA.com is here to help you through every day in June with our guide, Close Season Encounters, pointing you in the direction of your daily dose of the Beautiful Game...

Sapporo Dome back at home

For this you will need: Mohican haircut, one of; Roof; ball; spot, penalty, on of; jumpers for goalposts, two of; Goalkeeper - skill not required, one of; hearts, bags of - see also nerve.

1. Under the roof, find an open space. Place down both jumpers 8 yards apart to make a goal.
2. From the centre of the jumpers, or goal, measure 12 yards out and mark down penalty spot.
3. Place goalkeeper in centre of the 'goal' and place ball on the penalty spot. Stand behind the ball facing the goal.
4. At this point the goalkeeper, previously prompted, should walk towards the ball and 'show his encouragement' - ignore the words and look the other way.
5. When the goalkeeper has returned to his station, gather all of your heart and nerve and proceed to kick the ball to his left with all the force you can muster and send him diving to his right.
6. Peel away to the corner of the room with your arms out stretched like an aeroplane.
