Arsene Wenger was last night guaranteed a job for life at Arsenal as he finally signed his new contract.
Wenger secured a reported £500,000-a-year pay rise when he penned a deal that ties him to the Gunners until 2008.
Highbury director Daniel Fiszman said Wenger could stay for as long as he wanted. He said: "At the end of Arsene’s contract, I’m sure we will be talking about another one. We want him to stay for as long as he wants to." (The Sun)

The Daily Star report that Glenn Hoddle is in line to stage a dramatic managerial resurrection at Premiership strugglers West Brom.
The former Spurs and England boss is reportedly at the head of a three-man shortlist to succeed Gary Megson.
Ex-Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier and Gordon Strachan are the other leading candidates who fit the bill of having proven, top-flight experience.

Arsenal and Manchester United officials held talks yesterday.
Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein met with United chief executive David Gill before his side played Manchester City in the League Cup.
Both clubs are keen to repair relations before the sides meet in February.
Dein said: "I think both clubs are aware of their responsibilities. Games between United and Arsenal are always tense but I do believe we have a good working relationship." (Daily Express)

The Daily Express report that Midfielder Khalilou Fadiga was involved in a heart scare last night when he collapsed during the warm-up for Bolton’s League Cup tie with Spurs.
Former Inter Milan player Fadiga underwent heart surgery in America in April and there was huge concern among other players when he crumpled to the ground.
After receiving medical attention, he was carried off and taken to hospital. Bolton declined immediate comment about his condition beyond confirming he had been "injured in the warm-up".

Former Coventry chairman Bryan Richardson wants to make a return to the Premiership by investing in Manchester City, according to the Daily Mail.
Richardson has been seeking a way back into football since leaving his post at Highfield Road three years ago and wants to talk to City about becoming involved with the club.
It is not clear whether Richardson wants to take control or is seeking some input at boardroom level in exchange for an injection of capital.
