The England captain received some criticism in the second half of last season as the Spanish giants saw their title hopes slip away and failed to live up to expectations in the Champions League.
However, Beckham has insisted he will get to grips with life in Spain and have the best season of his life.
Beckham said: "Some people said I didn't have many good moments last season.

Patrick Kluivert admits he can't wait to join forces with former England hitman Alan Shearer at Newcastle.
Kluivert moved to St James' Park from Barcelona yesterday on a three-year-deal, and then set his sights on forming a formidable partnership with Shearer.
Kluivert said: I hope we can form a great partnership. Alan is one of the Premiership's top players and the way he playes is the way I like to play as well. The most important thing is to get an understanding going." (All)

The Sun report that The Brazilian dreams of a move to Spanish side Barcelona.
And the news will come as a major blow to Arsene Wenger - who had Edu in mind to replace Vieira if he moves to Real Madrid.
