Various papers report that Darren Anderton is to be given the chance to extend his top-flight career with a pay-as-you-play contract at Birmingham.

The former Spurs and England midfielder, released from White Hart Lane at the end of last season, will have further talks with Birmingham manager Steve Bruce at the end of this week.
