England defender Gary Neville talks to TheFA.com about how he is enjoying this his third European Championship.
Neville has played in both England's games so far and believes that whilst England beat Switzerland, the better performence came in the first match against France.
"Both games have been enjoyable for different reasons, the second one obviously because of the result even though the performance wasn't as good as the first one," Neville said.
"The France game was brilliant until the last minutes. Sometimes football kicks you in the teeth and now we have a big game against Croatia to look forward to. We'll be looking to win."
The second match against Switzerland on Thursday saw England bounce back in style, registering a 3-0 win and securing their first points of the competition.
"[It was] very difficult for English players, to play in the heat we had in Coimbra.
"When we turned up at 4.30 the day beforew the game, you knew it wouldn't be a good performance - it was 40 degrees!!
Neville was instrumental in the third goal as it was his overlapping run which opened up the Swiss defence, allowing Steven Gerrard to knock in the Manchester United man's low cross.
"I enjoyed the third goal as it was my best run forward in the two games. I was dleighted but more pleased that we had got the third goal.
So far at Euro 2004 no one team has stood up as obvious candidates for the tag of favourites, so who does Neville think has shown the best form so far?
"I thought Italy in the first half of the match against Sweden was the best performance so far. No team has grabbed it by the scruff of the neck.
"We've got to make sure we do our own job."
