Henry scored a remarkable 30 goals in 37 Premier League matches last season as Arsenal won the Premiership without losing a single game.

However, key to Arsenal's success was not only their inspirational defence but also their tight defence, of which Sol Campbell was the leader.

The two Arsenal players will come together on Sunday as England take on European champions France in their opening Euro 2004 match, and when asked about his opinion on his team-mate, Henry has nothing but the upmost repect.

"There's a touch of Laurent Blanc about Sol Campbell. Things will be fierce in Lisbon on Sunday because Sol is a rock," says Henry.

"When you've got Sol on your back, believe me, it's no laughing matter. He's very hard to get past.

"When it comes to marking a player, that's when there is something of Laurent about him, even if his style is different.

"He imposes his physical power, he's a real athlete but, above all, we are talking about an extremely nice lad.

"Sometimes good defenders are good only because they frighten strikers. Not Sol. He is an excellent defender who always plays to the rule of football."
