As friends, he's played with them at Bayern for years - not that there will be any room for friendship when England's group opener kicks-off.

"They are brilliant guys," says Owen. "They really enjoy their football.

"Lizarazu was probably the fittest player in Bayern, which is amazing for a 34 year-old."

Owen is also tipping Lizarazu to play his football in England next season...perhaps in London.
