England Under-17s will play their first ever fixture outside of Britain this aft

England Under-17s will play their first ever fixture outside of Britain this afternoon when they travel to France for a friendly international. The Under-17s side have been playing competitive matches since the team began, but the furthest afield they have travelled is Scotland. National Coach Hope Powell has an 18-strong squad for the friendly against France, taking place at the France Football Federation's national centre, Clairefontaine, kick off 2pm (3pm local time).

The squad includes several players who played in the Scotland friendly tournament in March, where England beat the USA representative side en route to winning the tournament. The squad also features several new faces, who will be hoping to impress on their first call-up to the England international set-up.
