The team arrive in Germany to begin preparations for the World Cup.

We all woke up bright and early, and set off for Germany. Our mid-morning flight from Heathrow was smooth and we landed at approx 2pm local time in Munich.

The tournament feel really kicked in when we were met outside the airport by a FIFA bus, with tournament colours and logos on and, of course, labelled 'ENGLAND'.

Everyone felt really professional, and a lot of the girls were keen to get the cameras out and take some photos (particularly Ash [Baker] and Kez [Harrop])!

We arrived at the hotel after an exciting one hour journey and were met by the FIFA representatives, who were nice and helped us feel welcome.

After settling into our rooms, and some lunch, prepared by 'Sean the Chef’ (Sean is key for us, to cater for all the fussy eaters and of course provide us nutritious meals!), the players and staff all went out to a park, which is next to the hotel. We were able to stretch out our legs and get some fresh air.

We also practised a walk-through of our match day warm-up. This was good as it kept us all switched on and focused.

The squad has been divided into three teams (‘Shaka’, ‘Laka’ and ‘Baby’ in a tribute to Denise Lewis).

It was generally a chilled out day, everyone was rested, ready to start training and get down to business!
