England have been drawn alongside Belgium, Switzerland and Iceland in the Elite Qualifying Round of the UEFA European Women’s U17 Championship.

Belgium will host the round-robin tournament between 13-18 April 2012, and the top-placed nation in the group will qualify for the Euro semi-finals, which will be held in Nyon, Switzerland in late June 2012.

Lois Fidler’s side qualified for the Elites by winning all three of their First Qualifying Round matches in October, against Israel, Northern Ireland and Finland, and they will hope to keep this momentum going next week when they take on Denmark twice in three days.

The Young Lionesses also know their opponents for next season’s First Qualifying Round and they will once again face Israel and Northern Ireland. Italy complete Group 2. These matches will take place in Northern Ireland between 10-15 September 2012.
